Dr. David Swart 

Dental Surgeon

With a wealth of experience and passion for what he does, you couldn’t be in better hands! After what felt like a clear calling, David began his studies and qualified in 1996 at Stellenbosch University.

For over 25 years David has been based in Kloof. He’s recently celebrated a milestone of owning his own Practice for 21 years - there are still patients right from the beginning still speaking his praises.

David has pursued his love of education and has a special interest in dental implants. This is a surgical procedure where a device is placed within your jaw to serve as the root/s for missing teeth. This provides support for artificial teeth giving you the gift of being able to chew again!

Out of the office, David is either spending time with his equally talented wife and children or making use of every minute of every day to stay fit and strong, setting aside training programmes for swimming, running and cycling. 

Dr. Eloise Morgan

Dental Surgeon

With a naturally inquisitive mind, a love of learning and exposure to her own Orthodontic intervention as a child, dentistry became the obvious choice for Eloise.

Eloise qualified in 2011 from Witwatersrand and completed her community service in the town of Welkom in the Free State. Relocation to KwaZulu Natal was never on her radar, but after an unsuccessful search for a Practice on the market in Johannesburg, she turned her expertise to converting a Periodontist Practice in Umhlanga to one of Dentistry.

You are in great hands for general dentistry but, if you have young children then you definitely want an appointment with Dr Morgan! Paediatric Dentistry is one of her passions, the other is the love of repositioning teeth and the correction of misaligned bite patterns. If you’ve heard of the term ‘Aligner Therapy’, the clear plastic retainers to realign your teeth, then Eloise is again your dentist of choice!

Eloise is married to a born and bred, self-confessed ‘Kloof boy’ which made her decision to join Dr Swart Dentistry an obvious one. She is the mother to her two gorgeous children and when she’s not with them you’ll find her conquering the running trails across KwaZulu Natal.

Dr. Roy Agar

Dental Surgeon

With over 40 years of experience, Roy has recently joined David Swart Dentistry in Kloof. After graduating from The University of Witwatersrand he served in the National Defence Force in Pretoria. Roy then worked in London for a few years and went on to own his own successful Practice in Musgrave, Durban.

There has been an incredible following of his patients from Musgrave to Kloof which speaks to how trusted he is.

Roy has a passion for building confidence in his patients by helping them to realise their perfect smile. He feels that great, affordable results can be achieved through cosmetic dentistry.

As a natural sportsman, Roy’s own smile is widest when he’s on the golf course. Roy has two adult children, one an Accountant in the UK and the other a Manager of clinical drug trials for a Multi-National Company. Roy is married to Deidre Agar, our resident Oral Hygienist.

Deidré Agar

Dental Hygienist

Deidre studied Oral Hygiene at The University of Pretoria and has completed an additional Clinical Course at the University of Natal (Westville) in 2014. Deidre has been a familiar face in Kloof for the last 12 years.

In January 2023 her husband Roy Agar joined David Swart Dentistry. This was fantastic news as the days she had spent at the Practice in Musgrave were now spent in Kloof! Deidre is also part of a Periodontal Practice at St Augustine Hospital where she has been for over 30 years.

Deidre does not only ensure that her patients have exceptionally clean teeth, she also specialises in periodontal treatment (that’s the cleaning of the pockets around the teeth to prevent damage to the surrounding bone and bone loss), bleeding gums and teeth whitening.

Deidre shows incredible care for her patients so much so that they often become friends.
